To create a database of images it required me to make a large number of images in the darkroom for the AI programs to develop an understanding of how the images look to then render new and infinite numbers of images which wouldn't have occurred without the database.
Each print has a different result from each development because of how the paper reacts to the development chemicals. By using oil, fixer and stop bath in different orders it allowed different results to occur and then due to the predicability of each processing method it allows me to create aesthetically pleasing images.
This shows the speed of development when using oil on the paper and then dropping it into developer which then is repelled from the paper because of the oil being on top resulting in the abstract image.
This shows the variety of prints that can be created when using different techniques of mark making. Some have been made with the use of oil and some have been created by painting on developer to create dark areas. Some of the paper has been placed into stop bath before then being put into developer to see which areas of the paper have been affected by the chemicals.
This shows that even though each print has been made in the same way there is a large variety in the results on the paper showing the importance of making a large number of prints to give the AI machine learning program enough data to make its own rendering s of the work.
